Girls Junior Varsity takes down Mona Shores 60-34. The JV Eagles started slowly trailing 7 -2 after one quarter and 20 - 16 at half but they came out with more confidence and focus in the second half and scored 44 points while holding Mona Shores to 14! The threes started to fall at the end of the first half and Hudsonville hit 9 of 14 in the second half to finish with 11 made three pointers. Eight of the ten players scored in game one and the team was led by Freshman Sofia Beel with 23, Adde Ulberg had 13 while Freshmen Brooklyn VanStedum had 7. Kyra Poison finished with 6, Jill Kornoelje had 5, Olivia Hopkins 3, Jaydalin Ortiz 2 and Susie Sahtoe rounded out the scoring with 1. Next up the girls basketball teams will play at home this Saturday versus Forest Hills Northern in the Fieldhouse. Freshmen play at 10 followed by JV and Varsity
