The Eagles returned to league play Wednesday night on the road to face Grand Haven. The Eagles wasted no time when Gavin Brandow took the opening faceoff win from his brother Lucas Brandow and scored on the breakaway seven seconds into the game. Several minutes later, Gavin for a second time in the period found the back of the net with assists from Lucas Brandow and Chet Karasinski. The period would end 2-0. Grand Haven would score first in the second period shorthanded, but the Eagles would answer ten seconds later on the power play when Logan Kowalke scored unassisted. Lucas Brandow would find the back of the net for his 10th goal of the season with another assist from Karasinski. The period would end 4-1 Eagles on top. The scoring would not stop in the 3rd period as Gavin Brandow completed the hat trick with an assist from big brother, Lucas. Grand Haven would score once more on the power play but the game would end with the Eagles on top 5-2. Senior goalie, Blake Visser made 37 saves in the win!! The Eagles will face Grandville Friday night at Griffs Georgetown 7:00 PM. The Eagles are the visiting team for that game, so come out and support the Eagles by sitting on the visiting side of the rink!! The Eagles will also play Saturday the 20th 2:00 PM vs Walled Lake United followed by the annual alumni game at 4:30. We hope to see everyone out at the rink this weekend!!
