Hudsonville Boys Swim & Dive Battles Grandville in Close Dual Meet GRANDVILLE, Mich. — January 22, 2026 — The Hudsonville High School boys swim and dive team delivered a strong all-around performance Thursday night in a competitive dual meet against Grandville, earning multiple event wins and numerous top-eight finishes across the lineup. Hudsonville was led by standout performances from Aiden Bayle, Brendan Lawrence, and Graham Sarber, who each secured individual victories. Bayle swept the sprint freestyle events, winning the 50 freestyle (21.74) and 100 freestyle (50.51), while also anchoring Hudsonville’s winning 200 freestyle relay. Lawrence claimed wins in both the 100 butterfly (56.28) and 100 backstroke (58.92), and Sarber captured first place in the 200 IM. The Eagles opened the meet with a strong showing in the relays, placing multiple squads in the top eight of the 200 medley relay and winning the 200 freestyle relay and 400 freestyle relay, demonstrating depth and consistency. Hudsonville also posted top-eight finishes in every individual event. Notable contributors included Kaleb Barricklow, Luke Meerman, Westin Wohlfert, Teagan Sorensen, Nolan Williams, Parker Smith, Trevor Roehling, and Tyler Coe, all of whom scored valuable points for the Eagles throughout the meet. In diving, Tyler Coe placed fourth, adding to Hudsonville’s scoring effort. Despite the strong performance, Hudsonville narrowly fell to Grandville in the final team standings, 161–151, in one of the closest meets of the season. The Eagles will look to build on this momentum as they continue conference competition in the coming weeks.
