Eagles Roll Past Lowell 11–1 Behind Complete Team Effort

By Nicholas Huizenga | Apr 14, 2026 7:42 AM

Hudsonville JV Baseball put together a complete performance on both sides of the ball in an 11–1 win over Lowell, showing steady pitching, timely hitting, and strong execution throughout the game. Luke Uhlig got the start on the mound and immediately set the tone for Hudsonville. He worked three strong innings, striking out six while allowing just one unearned run. Uhlig was in control from the first pitch and did a great job keeping Lowell from building any momentum. Luke Pennington came in out of the bullpen and continued that same rhythm, throwing two scoreless innings of relief while adding three strikeouts to finish the game. At the plate, Hudsonville found ways to keep innings alive and put consistent pressure on Lowell’s defense. Every Eagle in the lineup reached base at least once, and the offense was highlighted by several key extra base hits from Aiden Straus, James Brock, Luke Caminiti, and Luke Uhlig. Those hits helped stretch the lead and give Hudsonville control as the game progressed. The Eagles also stayed aggressive and smart on the bases. Brycen West, Luke Uhlig, Carson Weemhoff, and James Brock each recorded stolen bases, helping move runners into scoring position and creating additional chances for the offense to capitalize. Run production was spread throughout the lineup, with Kayden Rodriguez, Luke Caminiti, and Aiden Straus each driving in two runs. That balance across the order made it difficult for Lowell to slow the Eagles down at any point in the game. Defensively, Hudsonville was sharp and dependable behind their pitchers. Kenten Poll, Brycen West, and Luke Caminiti all had solid games in the field, helping cleanly support the pitching staff and limit any opportunities for Lowell to get back into the game. Overall, it was a strong team win that reflected good energy and execution in all phases. Hudsonville will look to carry that momentum into Tuesday when they return to action with a doubleheader against Mattawan.
