Athlete Paperwork Requirements Prior to participating in a practice or tryout for an HHS athletic team, the following must be on file in the HHS athletic office. Once these items have been completed, students must pick up an entry ticket from the athletic office that needs to be turned in to the coach on the first day of practice. Participation Fee: $100 per student per school year ($50 if family qualifies for reduced lunch; fee waived if family qualifies for free lunch). There is a family cap of $250.00 per year (also applies to families with student athletes in MS and HS). Student-athlete registration for the 2025-26 school year is now open. The link is available here: https://hudsonville.recdesk.com/Community/Program Athletic Physical: Must have been completed on or after April 15, 2025 in order to be valid for the 2025-26 school year. Insurance Waiver & Athletic Code Contract: Required each school year. Spectrum Health Treatment Consent Form: Required each school year. HS Fall Sport Start Date The first day of practice/tryouts for high school fall sports is Monday, August 11th. MHSAA Dead Period The MHSAA Dead Period for Hudsonville HS will be June 30th - July 6th. During this time, no workouts or activities of any kind will be held. MHSAA Preseason Downtime The MHSAA Preseason Downtime for fall sports is August 1st - 11th. During this time, non-sport specific strength and conditioning and four-player workouts are allowed. However, scrimmages, open gyms, sport-specific workouts with more than four players and camps are prohibited. Homecoming The Homecoming football game will be held on Friday, September 19th when the Eagles host West Ottawa! Kickoff is scheduled for 7pm.
